Investigation Of Terrorist Activities  Case

HOW TO INVESTIGATE A CRIME, COMPLETE, AND SUBMIT A  POLICE 🚔 INVESTIGATION REPORT

Elements Of A Crime:  These are very specific conditions / actions that were taken / established  / took by the perpetrator in committing a crime.  All elements must be present, proven, and investigated in order to prosecute someone for a crime.

Definition A Crime Of Larceny:  It is the unlawful taking of any property / anything of value belonging to another person (owner), without the written or verbal permission / consent of the caretaker or owner. 

Founded Case:  It simply means that the investigator proved / showed / established all the elements of the crime, thus concluding / providing substantial evidence to show / indicate that the perpetrator(s) did willfully commit the specified crime(s).

Unfounded Case:  It is the direct opposite of a founded case.  The offense was unsubstantiated.  The investigator could not  prove / establish that the elements of the crime did occur. 

Investigaion Of All Cases:  Each case has  a specific name.  Nonetheless, some have only  one item (Investigation of First Degree Murder) to investigate, while others may have multiple items  (Investigation of Use, Possession, and Sale of Heroin) to investigate.  Here are the cases you will investigate:

Investigation Of Larceny Case, Investigation Of Robbery Case, Investigation Of Fraud Case, Investigation Of Motor Vehicle Theft Case, Investigation Of Simple Arson Case, Investigation Of Aggravated Arson Case, Investigation Of Hacking Case; Investigation Of Use, Possession, And Sale Of Heroin;  Investigation Of Gang Activities Case, Investigation Of Terrorist Activities Case, and Investigation Of First Degree Murder Case

Choosing Types To Investigate:  For example, there are many types of larcenies  (theft of a motor vehicle, stealing money, taking without consent some kind of property from someone, and so on).  Here are two more examples (Robbery Case, or Gang Activities).  You decide what kind of robbery case  or what kind of gang activity to investigate.

You will chose any type to investigate as long as you are comfortable with your decision.  You have the freedom of choice.

Multiple Items In An investigation:  You will investigate all the items, for example, Investigation Of Use, Possession, And Sale Of Heroin.  You must investigate the Use, Possession, and Sale (All three items).  Each item is an incident.  Each item is an offense.  Each item is a charge.

Investigation Indicates Only One Item:  Then you must investigate that item, for example, Aggravated Arson.

Recommendation:  Read and research your textbook.  Use your own experience.  Go to the Internet for solutions.  Read News Papers, Magazines, Journals, and so on.

Conclusion:  All your investigations must be founded.  Make sure that you have substantial evidence beyond reasonable doubt to believe that the subject / perpetrator did commit the crime.

A report format is attached.  Use that report to write about your investigation.  It is recommended that you Add / Supplement to the report format so as to accommodate your immediate needs.

Note that this report format is in Microsoft Word.  Download it to your computer.  You can decrease the size of input boxes / content areas,  or you can also increase (make bigger) the boxes in order to accommodate less or more data / information. 

You can also add more boxes if you need them.  However, you cannot delete any boxes.

After completion of your report, you must upload it to Canvas.  I will thereafter read your investigation and grade it.
